Just This Once – Real-World Medicare Mistakes (and How to Avoid Them)
Scenario-Based Compliance Training | Articulate Rise
This microlearning course was built in Articulate Rise to support instructor-led Medicare compliance training.
Rather than listing rules, it uses emotionally grounded scenarios to show how small documentation mistakes, like skipping ABNs (Advance Beneficiary Notice of Noncoverage) or logging vague time, can lead to serious consequences,

Learners follow realistic characters, make choices, and receive immediate feedback grounded in Medicare policy.
Custom AI-generated visuals and layered interactions simulate high-stakes decision-making, even within Rise’s constraints.

When paired with instructor-led sessions, the course led to a 20% increase in learner engagement and a 25% improvement in learners’ ability to apply compliance rules on the job.
These outcomes were based on post-training surveys and direct feedback.
The course was created in collaboration with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and ChatGPT.

Medicare Call Center Simulation – QNXT Transition Training
Branching, Scenario-Based Compliance Training | Articulate Storyline
As Medicare call center reps adapted to QNXT, a new healthcare management system, longer call times and system learning curves were driving down customer satisfaction. I collaborated with subject matter experts to create branching simulations that reflect real emotional pressure and system-related confusion. The scenarios were grounded in authentic situations where callers were frustrated by delays and reps were still learning the system.

To boost realism and engagement, I used Resemble AI to voice the customer, making the call feel like a live interaction. This immersive approach helped reps practice de-escalation and improve call flow under pressure. The training contributed to a 20% increase in customer satisfaction within 3 months.

Narration-Driven Software Simulations
This project combines a series of short, interactive simulations into one seamless course, designed for older adult learners in a continuing education program. Built in Articulate Storyline, the experience simulates having a patient, knowledgeable tutor guiding each step, using narration, clickable hotspots, and layered visual cues to reinforce learning in real time.
The conversational tone and hands-on format helped learners build confidence while practicing essential Microsoft Word tasks. Compared to the program’s previous format, this simulation-based course led to a 50% increase in engagement and a 20% improvement in completion rates.
Introduction to Electronic Data Interchange
(EDI) in Healthcare
This course was designed to train billing specialists, claims processors, and healthcare IT staff on the core structure and use of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) in healthcare. It covered EDI basics, including transaction types (eligibility, claim status, billing), and how data is formatted using loops, segments, and data elements.

To ensure real-world application, I created hands-on exercises where learners practiced interpreting actual EDI file structures. The course also emphasized how these transactions fit into the larger digital ecosystem—especially how structured data moves into and interacts with electronic data record (EDR) systems and health plan platforms. Visual aids, interactive quizzes, and layered feedback were used to reinforce technical accuracy while building user confidence.
